My name is Filip Aleksandrow, and I'm a passionate Norwegian designer with extensive experience in User Experience (UX), Interaction (IxD), Visual (VisD) and Haptic Design.
In 2001 I have graduated with B.A. (Hons) in Product Design from University for the Creative Arts in south of England (Previously known as KIAD).
I have spent 15 years designing interactive experiences in video games industry, working for some of the top leading companies in the world, and additional 5 years in software and haptics R&D.
I love helping improve existing products as well as create new innovative experiences. I enjoy solving problems for the users that is why User-Centered Design (UCD) approach is very important to me. As a designer I focus deeply on research, usability, accessibility and multimodal design to create efficient, satisfying, and user-friendly experiences for the users, which is also likely to increase sales and customer loyalty.
I have been very fortunate to have worked with very talented multidisciplinary teams in great companies, and helped to develop and release to market over 20 great products with millions of users around the world. I love being part of passionate teams, learn from them, infuse design thinking and help them grow and together get better. Throughout my career I have worked closely with software and hardware engineers, art & design teams and marketing.
Currently I am settled in the awesome city of Montréal in Canada, where I work as Interaction Design Architect for Immersion Corporation, a leading innovator of haptics technology, focusing on automotive, mobile and gaming market.
My other interests include illustration, soccer, cars and music.
